Deadmoor Tells No Tales

7/21/2018

There have been very peculiar goings on this week my fellow Deadmoorians. As you know, I’m not one to gossip, but word has reached this faithful correspondent that a spooky light has been seen coming from the center of the garden maze behind Gramarye House. As usual, the elusive and secretive owner of Gramarye House, the famous artist Socrates Maupin, was unavailable for comment. In fact, this responsible correspondent actually stood on the front porch of Mr. Maupin’s unique home for a whole fifteen minutes, and no one answered my repeated knocks. My faithful readers know I never snoop and on this particular day when I looked in every ground floor window, I saw obvious evidence that Mr. Maupin was indeed home. He clearly doesn’t understand his civic duty. If anyone has information on this unusual occurrence, please contact me at the offices of The Deadmoor Daily Inquisitor in Chincapin Alley
